Burberry

Analyze the Burberry's color combinations.

Burberry use the color combination of khaki, red, black(or maybe dark brown) and white to form their famous brand lable.

It is really hard to identify where black and white color should position into the
color wheel.
-_____- (really confused)

-it's probably not analogic and complimentary color
-it's probably not complimentary color
-it's probably not split complimentary color
-it's defintely not double complimentary color
-it's defintely not triadic color
-it's defintely not achromatic

There are monochromatic color and analogic color left.

I think it may be analogic color which the scheme uses 3 adjacent colors.
The base color plus two colors 30º either side. The distance (degrees can
be adjusted for different effects)

Even I can't clearly define which color combination burberry logo used, after
i searched their latest collection, I believe that the designer of Burberry like
using the adjacent colors. Just show some photos below.

Chanel Ad. again

Monochromatic scheme

In this comestic advertisement, mono-chromatic color scheme is used.

A monochromatic scheme can make use of numerous shades (darker) and tints (lighter) of the same hue. The result is a more subtle effect due to the lack of contrast. Ex: Light blue, medium blue, dark blue.

Chanel's bike

Chanel's product is not only clothing and accessories, but also motor bike.

Chanel 2009 S/S Haute Couture

MONOCHROME WHITE
-Chanel 2009 Spring-Summer Haute Couture

The last Chanel Haute Couture collection is like a new beginning:'A white page," says Karl Lagerfeld. "It's like a staring point for the story of this new era, for which all the details still need to be written. That is why I chose paper as the theme for the couture collection this season. ...It's also the frbric I prefer most...I love paper!"

The grandiose decoration was made up of monochrome arrangements of roses, daisies, leaves and petals winding their way up and around the room's 32 impressive columns and draped over the railings of the entry stairway where the models appeared.

There were totally 7000 handmade paper flowers, which took a total of 4800 hours of work to assemble. 4200 m2 of paper were needed to create these ephemeral sculptures, all in one color.

From embroidery to the fabric, these pure, graphic silhouettes often combine two element: a short top and a straight skirt, both highlighted by lightness and fluidity.

The skirts have discrate slit. The removable cap sleeves conceal the shoulders and allow for freedom of movement.

I think the decoration of the couture show is just like a wedding ceremony. The paper flower perfectly match the 2009 latest collection of Chanel. I love the decoration so much and think it is really attrative. The creativeness of Karl Lagerfeld is that we cannot imagine.

Again, the Chanel collection shows how the black and white present the absolute beauty again.
