2007 F/W Ready-To-Wear - Analysis

There are totally 6o ladies outfits in Fall 2007 RTW Collection.



Color Family of the collection. You may notice that in 2007, besides the achromatic color, Karl lagerfeld picked various colors in the collection, like magenta, purple, blue, yellow, orange...


Analysis


1. Different chroma and value of blue color was used.
you may see that in the collection, sometimes would be the plain blue fabric, and sometiomes had mixed with the checked pattern.
The various chroma and value of blue presented different style.
For example, Karl Lagerfeld used shades of blue to add in the classic suit, which the hue was added with some black element, and high value but low chroma.

2. Analogic and Complimentary Color Scheme was shown.

This scheme uses the analogic colors scheme and includes the complimentary color.
As blue ,orange, yellow, khaki and yellow were used in the collection, the analogic and complimentary color scheme formed.

Not only from the clothing you can see, but also form the accessories.

3. Checked Pattern

If you ask me what element can be used to represent this collection, I think it is no doubt that should be the checked pattern. The checked pattern appeared in the collection almost 20 times.
The component of the pattern were always the achromatic colors, turtuoise, red, purple and blue.
In the formal college winter uniform, checked pattern has always been used. So, the pattern is totally match with the idea of Karl Lagerfeld - the cold-weather college-girl styling.
